Support for custom domains in Google Apps has always been a little shaky, but I hope to have fixed most of that in v1.11. In order to thoroughly test this, I need access to a few custom domain sites so that I can test the options. Please contact me if you would be willing to create an account for me on your domain. If you use Google Apps with a custom domain, please post a reply here (you will need to register) to let me know how (or if) it's working. Last edited Jul. 17, 2008 - 7:54am by Jerome Dane

Hello: I have several Google Apps custom domains. I usually have three open in Firefox 3.0.3 browser tabs so I have access to my various email accounts. I have Blank Canvas Gmail Signatures 1.11.07 installed. The signatures only work in the tab that has been most recently reloaded. For example: 1. Go to tab with Account A open, compose mail--signature works. 2. Go to tab with Account B open, compose mail--no signature controls available. 3. View>Reload on tab with Account B--signature controls now available. 4. Return to tab with Account A--no signature controls available. I am happy to help with testing and/or set up test accounts for you on my domains. Let me know if you need more info.

I'm not having success with this. Has anybody else? The management interface seems to be working correctly but will not add the signature to the body of the email. |

I've run into the same problem as Ryan. ONE user has issues getting the signature to insert. Everybody else does fine. He's running straight-up WinXP Pro, but all the other XP Pro users have no trouble at all -- nor do the XP 64 users or Vista users (1 each). The other issue we ran into is that once you leave a line in the "create" pane, you can't ever go back to it. We created a company-wide template, but once somebody inserts it, they can't go back and correct errors (for example, "Chef Financial Officer" - oops). Reinserting the template can be a pain, especially if we've closed the text document it came out of.
Anybody have a fix? |

A quick update:
The lone "It won't work" user has tried dumping all his plug-ins, then re-enabling them. Including BC. No joy.
He's running Firefox 3.0.5, and the BC version is 1.11.09. |
