I did have a problem initially but this is how I got it to work:
I was able to install the plugin ok and even enter the signatures but they weren't displaying when trying to compose a message. I didn't have any add-ons that were mentioned to be causing problems so I just disabled all my add-ons except BC Gmail Sigs. It then worked. One by one I re-enabled all my add-ons and everything works.
This could help if you're experiencing other problems as well...

I had this problem as well on my laptop and disabled all add-ons as you suggested. I then re-enabled Blank Canvas Gmail Signatures and it worked perfectly. I then re-enabled my other add-ons one by one. It turns out that Googlepreview v3.12 was causing the problem, which is weird, because I had absolutely no problem with that very same version up until yesturday. I disabled it and everything is working fine now.
